ABOUT
WHAT WE DO

We act as a main distributor of vital information on the Thames and its estuary, working to make people aware of how they can help preserve the river and its environs and work together to make it more healthy, sustainable and resilient.

We provide a forum for our varied members – from construction companies to environmental agencies and NGOs – to find a way to engage in constructive debate on Thames-specific issues. We host and run regular networking events, action groups and topic forums, as well as running in-house independent projects to support stakeholders on corporate social responsibility-related issues.

We create and run a wide range of projects on data collection and green and blue infrastructure, encompassing issues as diverse as flooding, environmental enhancement, pollution, public education, recreation and heritage – anything that impacts the estuary’s use and health.

Our communications span everything from regular newsletters to live events and digital resources, including virtual tours, podcasts and video, with a multi-award winning documentary: The Living Thames. Our mailouts and social media reach thousands of members and the wider public, keeping people informed about everything important that's happening with the Thames.
