Hop Aboard Another Living Thames Boat Trip!
Courtesy of City Cruises, who have given us the use of Vallula, we invite you to join us on a boat trip on the Thames.
Date: Saturday 2 September, 10am – 1pm
Itinerary: Leaving Tower Pier at 10am sharp, we cruise downstream to Greenwich and, depending on the tide, go as far as the Thames Barrier then upstream to Westminster, returning to Tower Pier at 1pm. We will follow SV Sea Dragon during the third leg of eXXpedition Round Britain, which is sailing round the British Isles sampling the waters for plastics and toxics.
Talks: There will be talks on Thames ecology and archaeology from marine and estuarine scientist Amy Pryor, aquatic consultant Steve Colclough and Thames archaeologist Dr Fiona Haughey.
The Thames Estuary Partnership, together with filmmaker Dorothy Leiper, are co-producing a 60-min documentary, The Living Thames.
Introduced by Sir David Attenborough and presented by TEP’s president Chris Baines, the film is an odyssey along the Thames as it meanders through London and flows out to sea, exploring its ever-changing ecology.
There will also be a bar on board if you fancy a tipple!
To purchase tickets by BACS (or make a donation towards the film) please email Meghna Shah at email@example.com or pay via Paypal below.
(All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the post-production costs of the film, including sound design, music and colour grading.)
