MIT TALKS visits the Humber, the largest ports complex in the UK and a pivotal player in the UK marine and offshore economy to explore why hybrid or electric propulsion and power is best suited to contributing to the Green Port Hull vision and is a real option for the Offshore Wind, Offshore Oil & Gas, Commercial Shipping and Ports & Logistics sectors.

 

As operators look for built in flexibility systems that can not only reduce emissions and optimise fuel consumption, but are lighter and take up less space, with lower noise and vibration levels and reduced maintenance costs, this talk is an opportunity for attendees to listen to leading industrial transmission and component experts, Mr. Gianluigi Taroni, Marine Product Manager & Hybrid specialist, Transfluid (Italy), and Marine & Industrial Transmissions about the latest technical developments.

 

Attendees will also have the opportunity to review the Transfluid’s hybrid HM560 driveline system which will be showcased at the event – which enable’s operators to reduce operating cost/emissions and improve passenger comfort.
