In support of the Tideway Skills and Employment Forum and launching National Apprenticeship’s Week, 6-10 March, the Thames Estuary Partnership has an exciting new challenge to offer our members. This is a unique opportunity to support disadvantaged and vulnerable youth by providing apprenticeships and training professionals who will drive commerce on the Thames.
We’re currently signing up teams for our TEP Meridian Pull Challenge on Wednesday 28th June with the AHOY Centre and we’d love your organisation to take part! Stakeholders in the maritime industry, engineering firms, urban developers, regulators, local government and academia are all invited to come together, compete and have fun.
During the Challenge your team of 6 will row 8.5 miles on the Thames through Central London, past the Houses of Parliament, London Eye and under Tower Bridge. Competing against other organisations in the industry, you can show your skills with maximum fun for a minimum commitment of only £300 per crew member whilst raising funds for a great cause!
The AHOY Centre delivers employment skills for young people aged 16-24 years old with two apprenticeships and provides a diverse range of training, leading to qualifications such as NVQs, NCFEs, BTecs, Royal Yachting Association & British Rowing.
For more information call Dan at The AHOY centre at 020 8691 7502 x 105 to talk through the details, or give TEP a call at 020 7679 8855 and ask for Meghna.
