This year’s Annual Forum was held at 15Hatfields – Situated near London’s South Bank they are Central London’s most sustainable venue!
Sir John Armitt, Chair of the National Infrastructure Commission and former Chair of the Thames 2050 Growth Commission joined us as the Keynote Speaker
Sir John talked about the big questions affecting the river. He followed the news about the Great Thames Park in the budget with a lively discussion with Roger Bailey of Tideway, Alistair Gale from the Port of London Authority, David Manning from the Lower Thames Crossing and Dr Paul Gilliland of the Marine Management Organisation.
The big questions about the future Thames – London’s increasing need for housing, transport and infrastructure to service its constantly growing population and addresing the impact of climate change – was discussed by an outstanding programme of speakers.
By bringing together the most influential and inspiring speakers and audiences from diverse fields, we asked questions, discussed the challenging issues, looked for aligned interests and strove for a positive consensus.
We also had round the world yachtsman and motivational leader Humphrey Walters to share his adventures!
