Coastal Futures 2019 will provide:-

Coastal Futures 2019 will set out to:-

• Deliberately bring together different sectors to discuss important developments and concerns

• Describe the actual changes that are causing concern and actions being taken to deal with these

• Describe the developing programme of policy and management which is unfolding to meet these concerns


Key themes include:

  • Brexit and its implications, the Government’s programme including the 25 Year Plan, Environment and Fisheries Bills
  • The growing importance of social capital and applied social sciences in the way we manage our activities 
  • Economics, assessment, net gain, restoration and recovery
  • The changing face of coastal governance and management and initiatives that are being taken
  • Climate change, coastal adaptation, mitigation and renewable energy

  • The programme contains the details of 33 full presentations and 25 –  3 minute slots and will provide you with the most comprehensive briefing on coastal and marine topics and enable you to network with the speakers.
